Steven Dennis is President and Founder of SageBerry Consulting, a boutique consulting firm focused on customer-centric growth and marketing strategy for multi-channel retail and luxury/fashion brands. Steven has over 25 years experience as a C-level executive and consultant working closely with senior management teams, Boards and investment groups.
Prior to founding SageBerry Consulting in 2009, Steven was Neiman Marcus’ Senior Vice President of Strategy, Business Development and Marketing. He also managed the company’s private label credit card partnership. Among his many contributions were
- Crafting the company’s long-term growth strategy
- Establishing the centralized marketing/customer insight function
- Redesigning the InCircle Rewards program
- Creating the Cusp specialty retail format
- Developing an off-price segment growth strategy.
Prior to Neiman Marcus, Steven held various senior leadership positions with Sears Holdings including Acting Chief Strategy Officer, Lands’ End acquisition integration team leader, Vice President-Multichannel Integration and General Manager-Commercial Sales. Earlier in his career he was with the NutraSweet Company and the global management consulting firm, Booz & Co.
Steven received his MBA from the Harvard Business School and a BA from Tufts University. He currently serves as a Director of the Dallas-Fort Worth Retail Executive’s Association and is a Partner with Dallas Social Venture Partners. He is also executive-in-residence at the JC Penney Center for Retail Excellence at SMU’s Cox School of Business.
